A gynaecology scan in women aids the clinicians to reach a diagnosis so that the most appropriate management plan can be put in place. At SureScan clinic, our gynaecology scans are done by gynaecology consultants who are experts in their field and have years of experience working in NHS and in the private sector.

A scan report and diagnosis is discussed with you by our consultants at the time of the scan. You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Same day appointments and evening appointments are available to suit your schedule.

What to expect

At SureScan clinic, we endeavour to provide a world-class health facility in a calm environment. You will be greeted by our friendly reception staff and will be asked to complete the registration form. We will start with transabdominal scan (scan through your tummy) for which having a full bladder will be helpful and aids to get a clearer picture. Transvaginal scan (internal scan) will be carried out after asking you to empty your bladder.

Transvaginal scan probe reaches close to the organs – uterus and ovaries – and helps in identifying any pathology much clearly. Scan pictures will be discussed with you at the time of the scan. You will be given a detailed report after the scan.
